Save the low cut tops for a party with your friends.

Look stylishly conservative by following these tips on what to wear to your office holiday party

The holidays are finally here and that means that people around the United States are preparing to attend office Christmas parties. These get-togethers are a great way socialize with your colleagues and get to know them outside of a professional setting.

But, before you step inside where the celebration is taking place, you have to make sure that you've got the perfect outfit. Naturally, what you would wear to a work function is going to differ from what you'd sport around a family dinner. Yet, that doesn't mean you have to give yourself a headache trying to decide what is appropriate and what isn't.

All you need to do is follow the tips below and not only will you impress your coworkers, but you'll be sure to wow your boss as well:

1) Take the time of day into account
Take a look on the invitation and understand that your outfit should be partly based on when the party is scheduled for. Those that are at the night and on the weekend tend to be more formal than those right after work on a week day.

2) Think about your role in the company
Are you an executive or the owner of the business hosting the celebration? If so, it's best to dress up. Still, regardless of what your job is, holiday office parties are time to don more formal clothes than you normally wear.

3) Consider the impression you'll be giving off
One good way to help you find the perfect outfit is to ask yourself, "what would I wear if I was going to meet my in-laws for the first time?" The answer is probably not a short dress or anything of that nature, but something timeless, classy and paired with stylish Prada's black suede pumps.

Whether you choose a black dress that is long or short, making sure you have a good pair of pumps can ensure your ensemble is glamorous.

The right designer accessories can really help dress up your little black dress

Few fashionistas would argue that there is anything more versatile than a little black dress, commonly known as an LBD. However, despite the fact that they can be worn virtually anywhere and with anything, few fierce females know the importance of dressing it up with the latest designer accessories.

If this statement applies to you, then you're in luck because below you'll find some ideas on how to dress up your LBD:

1) Pair with the right shoes
A good pair of designer shoes are every woman's best friend. And what better way to pump up the volume on your black mini dress than by donning bright pumps like the Cesare Paciotti Shoes for women in red? Not only are they comfortable, they won't break the bank when you buy them from Dellamoda.com, an online fashion retailer.

2) Don't forget about your hair
Just because you may favor wearing your hair up doesn't mean that your locks couldn't benefit by a fabulous and jeweled headband. These are sophisticated enough for a holiday office party and will ensure that your ponytail or bun look polished.

3) Keep your shoulders covered
This may sound counter-intuitive but an oversized shimmery blazer can really kick up the volume on your LBD. The long length of the jacket really complements the short hem on the dress and creates a nice balance so that you don't look cheap.

4) Wear a statement necklace
A piece that is big but not bulky will really jazz up an LBD. The great thing about this kind of jewelry is that it comes in so many different colors. Select one that is white for classic look or silver for an edgier appearance.

Partying for Art Basel continued over the weekend in South Florida

The temperature may be dropping in most cities across the United States, but Miami is one spot where men and women are bringing the heat. Art Basel, a weekend-long fashion and art celebration which started on December 5 and ended December 8, showcased some of the best creations in the business and along with unique paintings and sculptures comes the fabulous parties that South Florida is known for.

On Friday, December 7, socialites, artists and designers gathered for a get-together hosted by famous photographer Bruce Weber at the Standard Spa, according to The New York Times.

''I just landed; that’s why I’m late,'' said Donna Karan, who partied with people like Calvin Klein, reported the publication. Like most guests, she had a long night ahead of her.

Visionaire Magazine editor and co-founder Cecilia Dean showed off her manners at the event by telling reporters that ''The most important thing is to always say hello to the host.''

The party at the Standard may have been an indication of who's who in the art and fashion world, but that doesn't mean that guests were going to stay too long and wait to be seen. In fact, by 8 p.m., many were already off to the next affair, an upscale dinner hosted by Miami real estate mogul Aby Rosen and his wife, Samantha Boardman at the W Hotel's Dutch Restaurant.

Baseball player Alex Rodriguez, actor Owen Wilson and the Hilton sisters were among those at the event. After attendees finished eating, they made their way to the W's nightclub. Never to miss out on an opportunity to show off her designer handbags or designer shoes, Kim Kardashian and beau Kanye West reportedly arrived around midnight and hit the dance floor with all the other guests.

Everyone around the world undoubtedly can't wait to see how fabulous Kate looks during these exciting nine months.

How will Kate Middleton’s style change during pregnancy?

After it came out that Kate Middleton and Prince William were going to be parents, the internet, not surprisingly, seemed to go crazy, especially since for the past few months, rumors swirled that they were going to have a baby. In addition the multitude of congratulatory messages that fans of the royal couple wrote via websites like Twitter, it seemed like thousands of articles were published questioning how Middleton's maternity style would evolve, if at all.

Everyone knows the Duchess of Cambridge for her fabulous fashion sense. After all, how many times has she been seen around the world sporting designer handbags and designer shoes? Exactly.

Although it's hard to imagine Princess Kate, who was hospitalized earlier this week for acute morning sickness, looking anything other than fabulous, some online publications like EntertainmentWise posed the question whether Middleton's wardrobe while pregnant would stay chic or turn to frumpy like Princess Diana's was when she was expecting.

In a statement, former Vogue Magazine editor, Liz Lange, said that she doesn't think Kate's pregnancy should change her fashion choices in the least.

''Kate already dresses in a way that is perfect. I want her to stay in these fitted, ladylike dresses that will show off her growing bump in a way that’s very celebratory and appropriate. It's all about keeping it fitted. Nobody wants to see a pregnant woman teetering on stilettos, it’s uncomfortable,'' she said.

Whether the Duchess chooses to stick with the outfits everyone has seen her in all along or will opt for a change, one thing is for certain, the entire world will be watching her every move.

Wang is known for his fashion-forward creations and urban flair.

Alexander Wang dubbed the new creative director for Balenciaga, according to sources

Fashion-forward label Balenciaga has recently named Alexander Wang as the creative director according to multiple sources like Fox News. The company, which was once under the ownership of actress Salma Hayek's first husband Francois-Henri Pinault, will continue to manufacture luxury goods but now under the supervision of another innovative genius, Wang.

Balenciaga was founded in the early 1900s by Spanish resident Cristóbal Balenciaga. Ever since then, the fashion powerhouse has been creating everything from high-end purses and shoes to red carpet-worthy gowns.

"I am deeply honored to embark on this new role for a brand and house that I have such great admiration and respect for," stated Wang in a press release to PPR, a French multinational holding company that manufactures high-end retail goods.

After Nicolas Ghesquière declared that he was leaving the company as creative director on November 5, rumors throughout the fashion world began to circulate that Wang might be taking over the label next.

In a statement, Isabelle Guichot, president and CEO of Balenciaga, said Wang embodies all that the company stands for. ''His proven talent, modernity and individual and cosmopolitan vision of design will naturally embrace and enrich the unique heritage of this fashion house, which will soon be one hundred years old.''

Of course, directors for multimillion dollar companies need to know how to juggle multiple tasks at once and Wang is well aware of this. He is reportedly going to continue creating his designer handbags and other accessories under the Alexander Wang label and so the public will now be able to see how his laid-back and urban influences translate to his own brand and Balenciaga.

Yoko Ono first showed Lennon her designs right before 1970.

Yoko Ono debuts new fashion collection for men

Yoko Ono is no stranger to designer handbags and designer shoes. After all, she was the wife of incredibly successful Beatles musician, John Lennon. But, Ono has decided to form a new identity and recently revealed that she will be launching her own clothing line.

Her designs, which were influenced by Lennon, will be part of the men's collection sold in Opening Ceremony clothing stores in New York. Her items will also soon be available in the racks in Los Angeles, London and Tokyo as well. However, before Ono's dreams of becoming a designer became a reality, she sketched her ideas in a series of drawings which she appropriately named "Fashions for Men."

"I was inspired to create 'Fashions for Men,' amazed at how my man was looking so great. I felt it was a pity if we could not make clothes emphasizing his very sexy bod," Ono said in a statement. "So I made this whole series with love for his hot bod and gave it to him as a wedding present. You can imagine how he went wild and fell in love with me even more."

People who can't get enough of Yoko will also have the opportunity to buy a softcover book of her designs. In it, there are ideas for the footwear, sportswear, suits and headwear.

Although no one can dispute that Ono is a talented designer, there were a few articles that didn't make the cut. Sorry to break it to all her fans, but the pair of pants with a lion's tail attached to the behind won't be available in stores anytime soon.
