Marni’s 2012 pre-fall collection has something for everyone

August 9, 2012

Summer may be coming to an end but don’t worry, you don’t have to break out the frumpy sweaters and drab-colored corduroys just yet. In fact, you won’t have to break them out at all. The options for a fall wardrobe are just about as wide-ranging as the temperatures during this season. Essentially, there aren’t any rules. If it’s chilly enough, go ahead and wear that tweed mini with some tights. If it’s warm out, no one is going to give you the evil eye for sporting the dress you just bought.

And one designer who knows that anything goes is Consuelo Castiglioni, the founder of the brand Marni. Vogue Magazine covered her 2012 pre-fall collection, sprinkled with everything from rocker-chic blouses to sleek pants.

Models looked polished as they strutted their stuff on the catwalk wearing fluorescent lace blouses underneath oversized short coats in everything from neutral beiges to bright plaids. On the bottom, they wore skinny cropped pants and skirts in the season’s smartest patterns. Shiny loafers and chunky heels perfected the look.

Vogue said that within Marni’s collection there was “Something for everyone — and all of it able to be worn with pretty much everything that Castiglioni has designed before. She’s also nothing if not inclusive.”

Any fashionista knows that even the most sophisticated outfit isn’t complete without the right accessories. If you want to look your best when you walk out the door in your Marni coat, make sure you have a designer handbag. is an online fashion retailer that sells everything from cheap designer bags to designer sunglasses all for less than what you would pay in a department store.
