The holidays are finally here and that means that people around the United States are preparing to attend office Christmas parties. These get-togethers are a great way socialize with your colleagues and get to know them outside of a professional setting.
But, before you step inside where the celebration is taking place, you have to make sure that you've got the perfect outfit. Naturally, what you would wear to a work function is going to differ from what you'd sport around a family dinner. Yet, that doesn't mean you have to give yourself a headache trying to decide what is appropriate and what isn't.

1) Take the time of day into account
Take a look on the invitation and understand that your outfit should be partly based on when the party is scheduled for. Those that are at the night and on the weekend tend to be more formal than those right after work on a week day.
2) Think about your role in the company
Are you an executive or the owner of the business hosting the celebration? If so, it's best to dress up. Still, regardless of what your job is, holiday office parties are time to don more formal clothes than you normally wear.
3) Consider the impression you'll be giving off
